At R2S Forensic we pride ourselves on the wealth of skills and expertise of our team. With a combined total of over 75 years of experience garnered in policing, military and forensic fields, we have worked in over 20 countries around the world.

Sean Huff, Principal Consultant

Sean Huff

Operations Manager - Digital

Sean joined SeaEnergy as Principal Consultant in 2013. Sean is a former military diver with the U.S. Navy Special Warfare Command in Virginia.

He also served as a diplomatic officer in Washington DC, Moscow, Russia, and Tirana, Albania for the U.S. Foreign Service with a focus on national-level legal and regulatory issues to facilitate international trade and energy reform.

Sean formerly served an international trade consultant for Nathan Associates, serving as the Operations Director in Jakarta, Indonesia, supporting the 10 member states of Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN). He has worked in Russia, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Albania, Macedonia, and Kosovo. Sean leads the R2S Forensic division and is responsible for strategy, distributor and reseller management, budgets and targets, and market expansion.

Laura Fairley, Lead Forensic Consultant

Laura joined R2S in 2012 with an honours degree in Forensic and Analytical Science. Since joining the company she has also successfully completed the Bond Solon Criminal Expert Witness Certificate. Laura has built her experience working on over 200 Forensic cases including reports for both the prosecution and defence in a range of case types. Laura has been instrumental in the evolution of R2S as a court presentation tool.

As the primary point of contact for R2S Forensic Users,  Laura is responsible for client relationship management with Police Forces throughout the UK, EU, the US and Canada, as well as R2S Forensic service delivery. She recently coordinated and presented at the R2S Forensic v3 Launch and User Group Conference, guest lectured at Robert Gordon University and has been involved with Bloody Scotland, Scotland’s international crime writing festival.

Bruce Duncan, Forensic Consultant

Bruce joined R2S in 2013 following a career spanning 28 years within Grampian Police and subsequently the Scottish Police Services Authority (SPSA). Latterly, Bruce led the Scene Examination Unit (SEU) covering both the Grampian and Northern Constabulary areas. This role saw Bruce gain experience in the Scenes Examination Department, Photographic and Imaging Department, Mark Enhancement Laboratory, Shoeprint Image Capture and Retrieval (SICAR) Footwear database, Fire Investigation, Facial Identification and Counter Terrorism.

During his time as SEU Manager he was the SPSA representative on the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) Facial Identification working Group where he played a key role in producing the guidelines issued by the National Training Centre. Bruce is responsible for R2S Forensic service delivery

Kevin Mathieson, Strategic Associate

Kevin joined R2S in 2010 as a Strategic Associate. Prior to this he was part of the Crime and Operations team at Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary at the Home Office followed by six years as a Chief Police Officer in both England and Scotland before retiring as a Chief Constable. During his tenure as a Chief Constable, Kevin had responsibility for a broad range of disciplines including serious crime and counter terrorism, intelligence and emergency planning.

Kevin sat on various Home Office, ACPO and ACPOS working and strategic planning committees and is responsible for strategic support for R2S market expansion. Kevin is also currently the CEO at the UK Children’s Charity Over the Wall, founded by Paul Newman.

Garry Perkins


Garry joined R2S in 2013 as a photographer, with five years of photographic experience in the Royal Air Force. His skills include technical photography, photojournalism, events photography and Police photography for Incident Investigations. Garry was also video qualified in the Royal Air Force giving him the expertise in a wide range of video outputs. Utilising this qualification Garry filmed and produced short news clips that were distributed by the Ministry of Defence to local and national news outlets.

Since joining the company Garry has worked on offshore installations in the North Sea, Mexico and the United States capturing and editing thousands of spherical images for various clients.

Garry played a vital part in producing the Forensic video ( and most recently the Forensic training package.

Claire Fleming


Claire Fleming joined R2S in 2013 bringing with her over a decade of experience working in the private security industry. She began her career in London in 2003 as an Intelligence Analyst for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region for AKE, a private security and risk mitigation company, becoming Senior Intelligence Analyst for the region from 2004 to 2006.   During this time, she had responsibility for the MENA region during the height of conflict in Iraq, and the 2006 Summer War between Israel and Lebanon.  She has briefed foreign and domestic government agencies given oral evidence to UK parliamentary committees, and was invited to brief The Director General of the British Council and Prime Ministerial Special Envoy to Iraq on security issues relating to her area of specialisation.

In 2006, Claire returned to Aberdeen to open a regional office for AKE and as Corporate Relations Manager played a leading role in commercial relationship management and client liaison and where she coordinated and managed events from regular training courses and exhibitions to a series of International Security Conferences. Claire holds an MA Hons in Politics & International Relations and an MLitt in Middle East Security both from the University of Aberdeen.
